Mr. Shanquan Li

Biography

Mr. Shanquan Li is a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Oppenheimer
Funds, Inc. He has been managing the Oppenheimer Gold and Special Fund in the last 20 years.
The fund won Lipper Best Fund Award in the 5 and 10 year periods within the precious metals
category.

Before joining Oppenheimer Funds in 1995, Mr. Li had worked at Brown Brothers Harriman as
a senior equities strategist for four years. He started his Wall Street career in 1990 as an analyst
at Acadian Asset Management Co. in 1990. Before coming to the U.S. in 1986, Mr. Li had
worked for four years as a senior researcher at the Development Research Center of the State
Council (DRC), a government think tank established by the central government in early 1980s.

Mr. Li received a BA degree in Economic Planning and Statistics from the Renmin University of
China in 1982. He was invited to study in the U.S. by Winston Lord, the U.S. Ambassador in
Beijing, as a visiting scholar in 1986 under the Humphrey Fellowship Program. Later he moved
on to a degree program and received a MA degree in International Economics and Finance at
Brandeis University in 1989. He was approached by Acadian Asset Management Co. and started
his asset management career in 1990 while he was studying at Boston University for a Ph.D.
degree.

Lijun (Kevin) Chen

Managing Director, Head of Quantitative Portfolio Management

Biography

L. Kevin Chen is a Managing Director and lead portfolio manager for the TIAA Nuveen
organization. As the Head of Quantitative Portfolio Management in Global Fixed-income
Markets, Mr. Chen is responsible for quantitative portfolio management, transaction strategies,
market surveillance, investment research, product development, and performance analytics.
Mr. Chen has over 20 years of industry experience including prior positions at the United
Nations Development Programme (UNDP), at OSI Solutions, a technology consulting firm he
founded in mid-90’s, and at several cross-border US-China business initiatives.
Mr. Chen earned a B.S. in Computer Information Science from Fudan University, an M.S. in
Computer Science from Temple University, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Operations Research
from New York University. He is a CFA charter holder.

Edward Dongheng Liu

Chief Financial Officer

Biography

Edward Dongheng Liu joins BeyondSpring with more than a decade of investment banking and investment experience in the Asia-Pacific region.

Prior to joining BeyondSpring, Mr. Liu was a Partner and Executive Director at Epiphron Capital, a cross-border, healthcare-focused investment fund that was an early investor in BeyondSpring. Prior to that, he held various leadership positions in the investment banking industry based in Hong Kong focusing on clients in the Asia-Pacific region. He was a Senior Vice President and Vice President at Investment Banking and Capital Markets at Jefferies. Prior to Jefferies, he held various roles of increasing responsibilities at Investment Banking Division at J.P. Morgan. As an investment banker, Mr. Liu has led financing and M&A transactions for clients across sectors with a total transaction value exceeding US$30 billion.

Mr. Liu received his bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics from Yale University. He also completed biomedical engineering coursework at Tsinghua University.
