The Chinese Association for Science and Technology, USA, Greater New York Inc. (CAST-GNY, http://castgny.org/en/) is a registered U.S. nonprofit, nonpolitical organization of 501(c)(3) status, founded in August 1992. It is one of the most-recognized organizations among Chinese professionals in the United States.

The majority of CAST-GNY’s members are Chinese-American professionals holding advanced degrees in science and technology, education, business, law, medicine, art, and other fields of endeavor. CAST-GNY is growing at a rapid pace with many thousands of members in the Greater New York area, working in universities, industries, government agencies, and other sectors, many in the world’s top 500 multinational corporations, or prestigious universities.

CAST-GNY is committed to the promotion of cultural diversity and inclusion. Its missions are:

• Providing networking opportunities and development resources for its members to improve their professional and personal advancement;
• Promoting the communication and exchange between the United States and China communities in science and technology, economy, business, education, culture, and other areas;
• Promoting traditional Chinese culture and connect the local Chinese community to the general public in the US.

To achieve the overall mission, CAST-GNY has organized and sponsored a series of conferences and webinars on research frontiers, innovation competitions, mentoring programs, and networking events for scientists, engineers, professionals, and students across all disciplines.
