Tencent AIMIS: AI-Powered Diagnostic Medical Imaging System
Abstract:
After achieving great success in social networking, Tencent proposed the “Internet Plus” initiative with the goal to revolutionize traditional industries (e.g., healthcare) with the latest IT technologies. In this talk, I will first give a brief overview of the eco-system Tencent is building to reshape the healthcare system of China. I will then focus on Tencent’s AIMIS product (called Miying in Chinese), an AI-powered diagnostic medical imaging system. Leveraging the latest deep learning technologies and large physician-annotated training sets, on many tasks, we have already achieved diagnosis accuracy on par with senior medical doctors from top tier hospitals.
